Membership and Guest Policy

Shall be open to existing members, individuals from Polaris World resorts and individuals who are proposed and seconded by existing members, on presentation of a current handicap certificate.  Should handicap certificates not be available, then it will be a requirement that they play 3 x 18 hole rounds with members.

For people wishing to become members, initial contact must be made to the secretary, Christine Davison on 968 041 735.  Application shall then be in writing with the appropriate application form, counter-signed by proposer and seconder.

Annual membership fee shall be payable from 1 January each year, this being non-refundable and paid to the treasurer or a committee representative. A receipt will be given.

GUESTS

For those people who wish to play as a guest in the society competitions, a valid current handicap certificate must be produced.  The only exception will be for those players with a current society guest handicap who play regularly.  those members and guests who play infrequently may be asked by the competition secretary to produce an up to date handicap certificate from their golf club.

SOCIETY COMPETITIONS

These are only open to players with a handicap, obtained by any of the previously mentioned methods.

In normal weekly competitions, separate prizes will be awarded for members and guests, dependant upon numbers of entries.

Major competitions, e.g. Captain’s Day, etc., will also have members and guests prizes  but the overall winner must be a member of the society.

If a competition entry list is over subscribed, then priority shall be given to members.

COMPETITION ENTRY FEES

Competition entry fees for members and guests will be decided by committee.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES

The annual fee for playing membership will be set at the A.G.M. in January each year.
