Gerry Duffy produced super round of golf to win the captains prize at barnhill on sunday 11 july.playing off a handicap of 7,gerry fired 40pts to pip the unlucky Darren Pearse who carded a score of 39pts and .




Ed Margey Lifts the Presidents Prize.

Portnoo was the venue for Mr Mick Duddy Presidents Prize,played in good conditions 28 members tee off,our all ireland winner Ed Margey was in good form to record 34 pts to win by a single point from Shane Blake with Anthony Bonner in third.At the prize giving the president thanked all those who played and a good night was had by all.

Shane Blake made it two wins this season in strabane,played in good conditions,shane pproduced a fine round of 35pts to hold off the ever steady Kieran Sweeney on 34pts and the fast improving Kevin mcDonald also on 34pts.The golfer of the year is now a two man race between Shane and Kieran with only four outings left.

Played in ideal weather conditions Sandy Hills was the venue for the February outing,Sandy Hills has always been reguarded as a tough course and sunday was no exception,even with the weather very quiet scoring was difficult,but one man played very well,Kevin McDonald turned in a fine score of 35pts to win by four points from Ed Margey,with Kieran Sweeney in third.

Shane Blake shot a one over par 73 in Castlerock on bank holiday monday in excellent conditions,33 members tee up and the scoring again was very high,Brian McAleer was in 2nd place with 36pts and Kieran Sweeney 3rd with 35pts.Captain Denis O Donnell thanked everyone who travelled and Castlerock for their hospitality.

Kieran McGlynn proved once again he is the man for the big occation,having won last years captains prize,he follow that with victory in the Joe Dorrian cup and on sunday he succesfully defended the captains prize at letterkenny scoring a excellent score of 41pts to win from the every consistant Kieran Sweeney in second on 37pts and the youngest member of the society Keelan Sweeney only a point behind on 36 pts.At the prize giving the outgoing Captain Martin Kelly thanked all the 40 member who played on the day and the members who played throughout the year,He also wished the incoming Captain Dennis O Donnell the very best of luck for the year ahead.
